Terms
Terms of use
The rules that apply while you use Pingoon: your account, the content you share, meetups and purchases. Kept short, because a contract nobody reads protects nobody.
You accept these terms the first time you open the app. The version you accepted is shown under Settings → Agreements and Permissions.
What the service offers
Pingoon is a mobile app that brings events, walking routes and friend groups together on a single map. Downloading it and using the core features is free.
Most of what you see is created by users. We do not guarantee that an event will actually take place, that a route is safe, or that a user has described themselves accurately.
Your account
You must give accurate information when you sign up and must not share your account with anyone. You are responsible for what happens through your account; if you think your password has been compromised, change it and end your open sessions right away.
One person may hold one account. Accounts may not be opened on someone else’s behalf or under a false identity.
Rules you agree to
While using the app, you agree not to:
- Post insults, harassment, hate speech, threats or discriminatory content.
- Share illegal content or organise an illegal meetup.
- Share someone else’s personal information without their consent.
- Send advertising, spam or bulk messages.
- Scrape the app with automated tools, reverse-engineer it or attempt to bypass its security measures.
The content you share
The content you share stays yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to display it inside the app; when you delete your content, that permission ends with it.
We reserve the right to remove content that breaks these rules. You can report a post from inside the app.
Meetups and events
Events happen in the real world, face to face. You decide who you meet and where you go; Pingoon is not responsible for what happens at a meetup. When meeting people you do not know, prefer public places with other people around.
If an event is marked as paid, that is information only: payment happens outside the app, between the participant and the organiser. Pingoon does not process or collect these payments.
Routes and points
Route points and the leaderboard exist for gamification; they have no monetary value and cannot be transferred. Check-ins are verified against your location, and attempts to work around that verification may result in your points being removed.
Subscriptions and purchases
Paid features are purchased through the app store. Payment, renewal and cancellation run through your App Store or Google Play account; to cancel a subscription, use the subscription settings of that store account.
Refund requests are subject to the rules of the relevant store.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. You can end this agreement at any time by deleting your account.
Limits of liability
The app is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that it will run without interruption or be free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from user-generated content or from real-world meetups.
Changes and governing law
When the terms change, the new version is published here and the app asks you to accept it again at sign-in. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
