Routes

Head out knowing not just where, but in what order.

A route is a line drawn on the map and the stops along it: a museum, a viewpoint, a stretch of shore, dinner. Say which kinds you want and it brings you the routes that pass through them — then just walk it in order.

Points and ranking

Points as you go, a ranking at the end of the period

Get within 50 metres of a stop, tap “I’m here” and 8 points are yours. Check in at more than 80% of a route’s stops and every stop you visited pays 4 points more. Points feed the ranking for the current period.

  • 8 points per stop

The kind of stop makes no difference: a museum pays the same as a photo spot. What’s rewarded isn’t the place, it’s having actually gone there.

  • Past 80%, 4 more per stop

Check in at at least 80% of a route’s stops and every stop you visited pays a second time. An eight-stop route is then worth 96 points instead of 64.

  • The ranking runs in periods

The leaderboard isn’t weekly: we set the length of each period — it can be a month, three months or a year. When a period ends the table starts from zero; your all-time total stays on your profile.

What you can do

Pick, walk, collect

  • Search by category

If today calls for a museum and a view, choose both: you get the routes that have both. You can cap it by time too — two hours free, two-hour routes.

  • Stops in order

A route isn’t a line, it’s a schedule: the next stop, the walk between them and that stop’s closing time are always in front of you. Don’t like the order? Change it.

  • Get close, check yourself in

The app never marks a stop for you. Come within 50 metres and the “I’m here” button unlocks; the points land when you tap it, and not before.

  • Draw your own

Save a walk you know, with its stops, and share it. Every time someone else walks your route, it adds up on your profile.

Frequently asked

What exactly earns points?

Every check-in is worth 8 points. Check in at 80% or more of a route’s stops and each stop you visited pays 4 points on top — walking an eight-stop route end to end is 96 points. Checking in at the same stop twice in one period doesn’t score again.

How does the leaderboard work?

On the points collected during the period. A period isn’t a week; it can be a month, three months or a year — the dates are shown at the top of the table. When it ends the ranking starts from zero, while your all-time total stays on your profile. There’s a list for everyone in your city and a separate one for just your friends.

How does the app know I’m at a stop?

It doesn’t — you mark it yourself. Come within 50 metres and the “I’m here” button unlocks; no tap, no points. Outside that distance the button stays disabled, so there’s no finishing a route from your sofa.

What if I don’t finish a route?

The 8 points for each stop you did check in at stay. If you didn’t pass the 80% mark, the extra 4 per stop isn’t added. The route is saved as unfinished; another day you can pick up where you stopped or start over.

Can I create my own route?

Yes. Mark the stops on the map, choose their categories, set the time — the route can be public or private to the group you send the link to.
